Penny Weaver/The IntelligencerEDWARDSVILLE — Typically, when aldermen table an item at a committee or city council meeting, it returns at the next meeting, which is usually two weeks later.
The city’s single-family home rehabilitation program, however, was an exception. It was tabled at the July 27 administrative and community service (ACS) panel and it remained on hold Thursday.
Officials wanted to make changes to the program after initial questions were raised last month. At least one person arrived Thursday at the ACS meeting hoping it would be on the agenda.
The next ACS meeting will either occur on Aug. 30 or Aug. 31 with exact date and time to be determined.
Those interested should check the city’s website for the latest ACS agenda prior to the end of this month.
