Construction work is well underway on a new, five-story building at Grandview Yard. Located at the northeast corner of Yard Street and Williams Avenue, the building will hold 40,000 square feet of office space on its ground floor, with 132 apartments above.
Called the Morrison, the new building sits next door to an existing, four-level parking garage, and just south of offices occupied by Nationwide.
Carli Lanfersiek of Nationwide Realty Investors (NRI), Grandview Yard’s developer, said that the building is on track to be completed in early 2023.
“There is high demand for space at Grandview Yard, and occupancy is near maximum capacity,” she added. “The Morrison project will help bring more office availability to the project to meet the ongoing demand.”
Work has yet to start, though, on a previously-announced office building that was set to fill in another parcel of undeveloped land on Yard Street, to the south of the new Morrison building. To be called 840 Yard Street, that project was announced in 2019 at the same time as the two Kipton apartment buildings, which were completed in early 2021.
Lanfesiek said that the 840 Yard Street building is still part of the Grandview Yard master plan.
